Refuge groups are designed to serve the diverse and specific needs of those attending our conference. These are optional events built into our conference schedule that we invite you to participate in. Our desire is that they would provide a safe, welcoming and hope-filled place for you to connect with others who can encourage you on your journey.
We offer Refuge Groups for Men, Women, Parents, Couples/Spouses, Young Adults (22-30) and Students (16-21). Here are more details about each of these groups:
Men’s Refuge
In this informal and relaxed gathering, all men are invited to enjoy a snack and have the opportunity to process the events of the day with other conference attendees. Expect good conversation, encouragement, and strength.
Women’s Refuge
Women are invited to this lighthearted setting to enjoy small group activities and process the day. This is a great place to talk to and connect with other women throughout the conference.
Parents’ Refuge
Each afternoon, parents will have an opportunity to connect and be better equipped and encouraged through guest speakers and small group discussion.
Refuge for Couples
This refuge is designed for married couples impacted by homosexuality. It is a time designed to build, encourage, and strengthen your marriage. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other married couples facing similar issues. Spouses attending the conference alone are also invited.
Young Adults Refuge
(For Ages 22-30) This evening “coffee shop” atmosphere will offer a chance to connect throughout the conference with discussion on relevant topics in lighthearted conversation. This low-key environment will be a time for reflection, encouragement, and making new friendships.
Students’ Refuge
(For Ages 16-21) Geared specifically towards young people, students will hear from speakers on various, relevant topics. Small groups and activities in this safe environment will be fun, engaging, and great opportunities to make new friends.
